Junior Golfers Assessment

Junior golfers are still growing, adapting, and developing—physically and neurologically. Training them without a proper assessment is not only inefficient, it increases the risk of injury, stalled progress, and long-term movement limitations.

At GiR, every junior golfer begins with a comprehensive, golfer-specific assessment to ensure training is age-appropriate, biologically informed, and purpose-driven.

1. No Guessing Games — Every Decision Is Data-Driven

An assessment removes assumptions from training. Instead of guessing what a junior “needs,” we identify:

  • Movement limitations

  • Strength and stability gaps

  • Mobility restrictions

  • Coordination and sequencing patterns

This allows every exercise, drill, and progression to be chosen with intention, not trial and error.

2. Progress Is Recorded, Measured, and Tracked Over Time

Junior development is not about quick wins—it’s about consistent, measurable improvement.

Through structured assessments, we:

  • Establish clear baselines

  • Track changes in mobility, strength, balance, and power

  • Monitor how the body adapts as the athlete grows

This creates accountability, clarity, and confidence—for the athlete, parents, and coaches.

3. Training Is Matched to Biological Age, Not Just Chronological Age

Two juniors of the same age can be at completely different stages of physical development.

Our assessment process considers:

  • Growth spurts

  • Neuromuscular control

  • Joint stability

  • Coordination readiness

This ensures training loads and progressions are safe, effective, and aligned with how each athlete’s body is developing, reducing overuse injuries and burnout.

4. Tailored Training for Long-Term Success

Every junior golfer’s program is built around their individual needs, not a one-size-fits-all model.

Assessments allow us to:

  • Prioritize movement quality before adding load or speed

  • Improve force production and transfer safely

  • Build resilience as swing volume increases

The result is a junior athlete who develops better movement, stronger fundamentals, and a body that supports performance—not one that breaks down early.
